BACKGROUND:

I left home at the age of 18 for a life in the U.S. Army. My 11 years in the Army took me to several assignments, including a one year tour of duty in the Republic of South Vietnam. In September of 1977, at the invitation of a friend, I attended Anchorage Baptist Temple where Dr. Jerry Prevo is the pastor. There I heard the truths of salvation in and through Jesus Christ alone and I received Him as my personal Savior.

After leaving the military, I moved to Hammond, Indiana to get the Bible training that I needed. I attended and graduated from Hyles-Anderson College. While there, I served in the bus ministry, and was also active in the Fisherman's Club, Sunday Schools, and conducting services in a local nursing home. In May 1997, I was honored by Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida with a Doctor of Divinity Degree.

I served as the Missionary/Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Baumholder, Germany from July of 1985 to Aug of 2002. During those years God moved, taught, and blessed in ways that only He can. We saw the church grow in average attendance from a low of about 50 to a high of 185. Through the ministries of Grace Baptist Church we saw an average of 4 souls per week come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. God saw fit to call 17 men into the full time gospel ministry. God led us to involve ourselves in helping to prepare these men while they are still in the military. This was done with the aid of several fundamental Baptist colleges in the states. There are presently 5 men preparing for lives of full time service. We ministered to families that saw one or both of the parents spend three to six months away on military deployments almost every year. But God is gracious and allowed us to have an influence for Christ in the lives of some of the finest young men and women that America has produced.

God has also taken us into Romania and Moldova on preaching and teaching missions.
